Why our Electronic Media Suck?
Chaliye aj zara humaray so called’ AZAD’ media pe baat kartay hain. In todays' world, media is not only the best source of information, but also powerful ‘change-agent’ in the society. Mainly media outreach takes three forms, publishing media, electronic media and social media. Unfortunately the frequency of reading (publishing media) reduced with the induction of broadcasting and electronic media.  

Electronic Media has emerged as one of the most powerful constituent of the state. As they say, "with great power comes great responsibility" and how our electronic media is fulfilling its responsibility? The answer is  by doing ‘NOTHING’ useful, absolutely nothing but propagating hideous issues and trust me its not only news media. 

If you switch on the TV, in the morning, all you will see "bright", "fat" and "old" hosts (I am not body shaming - stating truth only) conducting nonsense + gibberish morning shows teaching how to become GORI in 5 minutes, running shaadi business and promoting how one should always wear those extravaganza designer dresses in shaadis and lawn joras in everyday life. Basically, it is persuading society towards never ending wasteful norms. If left to them, there is no greater cause in life then either to attend or get married, loose weight or get your skin fair. 


Then comes afternoon matinee which is full of frivolous non-sense daily soaps and some stupid sitcoms. My precious page space cant afford to go in details for them.

And then comes the prime time, where our news channels are full of noise and thrilling threats about our own motherland. Every news is breaking news. God knows how?? And every show is all about putting dirt on every political personality. Meanwhile our so called 'entertainment channel' (where is entertainment??) puts up 'Lets Turn you into a Bhikari' shows Oopss sorry our game shows. Fahad Bhai mujhe bhi, Waseem bhai main bhee, aamir bhai idhar... These shows are literally murdering merit, knowledge and skill. Azad media means promoting serious garbage in the society. I don't even want to get to our dramas but fact is we don’t telecast any quality informative, science, art or quiz shows for our kids and youth.

On the other hand, if we see our neighboring INDIA, they are providing so much diverse content, for a complete "infotainment". While they have scandalous #Bigg Boss running, they also have Kaun Banega Crorepati. Where they have skill full Dance-plus, they also have science of stupid. Where they have God knows how many singing reality shows, they also show their own historic religious period dramas produced in a fancy manner. If on one side substandard news or other channels, on the flip side they also display "Local" Nat-geo, Discovery, Science and History Channels. This diverse content is not only getting national viewership, but also generating huge fan following through out the world, meaning international reach. Needless to mention the commerce element of it.



So my question. When Pakistani audience gets to see "Quality Content". Why can't we have Nat-geo, discovery, the Science Channel, History TV other interesting "content rich" channels to win the "Indian" content looking Pakistani audience. Reality shows and documentaries are shaping the new world today, so why cant we have our own Kaun Banega Corerpati, Science of Stupids, the Gadget show, Mega Kitchens, Backyard science and Magic of Science or any compelling visual delight. Competing on quality and content as for a good viewer, low production quality means change the channel.  

Why can’t we produce such shows?? Nahii.. TRP jo nahi milayge. It’s a request from all the TV channels to tie up with quality. Try to make your shows a visual treat and so interesting that people get bound to watch them. Yaar copy hee karlo india sey , Tie up with international program chains, lekin pleaseeeeee do something. Stop these shitty serials in 7 pm -8 pm slot. At least produce something productive and interesting for youth.

As he always proves to be the saviour for the party, which he joimed.  When Hamza Ali Abbasi alone has been constantly bumping up the book issue in the market, another PTI supporter, the "charb zaban", Amir bhai came with his sword, poisoned with sarcasm and simply nailed it. He ridiculed, mocked, defamed and fungused Reham's name by unveiling its etymology. His "waar" was just with a single tweet by was too powerful than sword.
