The “should know" story behind “faizabad Dharna”
One of the brisk religious parties was in protest for many
days. They were presenting their aggression against one of the issues with
regards to “Election Act 2017”
The story began when the copies of election Act 2017 were
released with a touch of amendments. The amendment were made in the form A
where the word “I solemnly swear on the
finality of prophet hood on Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W)” was replaced with
the term “I believe” and It was not
made applicable for non-Muslim candidates.
Secondly, section 7 B
and 7 C of the “Conduct of General
Election Order” were deleted in “Election
ACT 2017”. The mentioned sections were with regards to Ahmedis.
Section 7B stated
the status of Ahmedis as per mentioned in Constitution of Pakistan. And the
section 7 C stated that the one who didn’t believe in the finality of prophet
hood on Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W), his “name shall be deleted from the joint
electoral rolls and added to a supplementary list of voters in the same
electoral areas as non-Muslim”
The above mentioned changes crossed religious parties. And due to that, the amendments were instantly revised.
But still the religious parties showed their rage and asked for
the resignation from the game changers. The
followers of that religious party sat-in for many days in Islamabad. On last Thursday,
the “Islamabad high court” asked the protestors to wind-up and ordered
authorities to take sensible action.
On this, the mob turned more aggressive and rigid. More people
joined the hands to support rash mob and then armed men intervened.
The result of
that was never wished to be.
From Saturday morning, there were neither any negotiations, nor compromise
but only chaos and anarchy across Pakistan
May all things get settled soon Ameen
